San Juan Moda Spring 2019 Highlights

Here a summary of our favorite local designers and their creative proposals for the new season.

Angel Guzman SS ‘19:

Angel Guzman runway collection was inspired by one of the most memorable television series of all time, I dream of Jeannie.

Guzman presented a variety of colors in pastel tones such as pink, lavender and white without leaving aside striking prints on embroidered fabrics.

The IDORE “WILMA” a pointy high heel vinyl mule was one of our favorites this season…

Also featured down the runway was the “PADUA”by Isadora. Nothing says sophistication like a pair of classic and sexy strappy sandals. This is the perfect pair to complement this look.

ECLIPTICA SS ‘19

Michelle and Norein “Ecliptica”’s collection was inspired by the work of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, naming it “Batlló”. Fringes, prints and asymmetrical cuts were some of the elements used by Michelle and Norein Otero, designers of Ecliptica.

For such a colorful collection, the designers opted for a simpler yet sexy sandal. The IDORE “BENEDITA” in gold and pewter were featured down the runway.

Edd Aponte SS ‘19

His spring / summer 2019 collection “BRISE-SOLEIL” also known as sun blocker presented a variety of colors ranging from different shades of blue, white & black. Cut-outs, fringes & sequins were some of the elements used by the designer.

The IDORE “GLORYA” platform complemented this sophisticated beachy look perfectly!

Navy and yellow couldn’t looked better with our partyready strappy heel IDORE “PARIS”.

Eddie Guerrero SS ’19:

His inspiration for this collection were bugs, naming it “Don’t Bug Me”. The insects were present in all the pieces, whether in prints or embroidered.

Loving how the IDORE “WILMA” looks.

Our favorite pump, “PORSHA”by IDORE, was a showstopper. This pump is versatile and stylish at the same time.

Gustavo Arango SS ‘19

Gustavo Arango collection was stylish, elegant and versatile. A lot of the pieces can be worn alone or combined with each other.

We loved the sheer socks in this look as it gives the IDORE “PANTERA” mules a completely different statement.

Herman Nadal SS ‘19

His collection was inspired by “The School of Bauhaus”, a school of art of the 20th century that defined the most important design movements of the modern era. Denim, red, white and black were some of the elements used by the designer.

The “RACHELI” v-cut bootie looks perfect with this denim on denim ensemble.
